Sho-chan's is a small regional sushi restaurant,
so it sometimes serves meals other than sushi.
For customers who drink alcohol, we also make light snacks.

----Simple Meals----

Curry and Rice

Indian cuisine is allenged in Japan and transformed into a unique dish.
There is even a strange dish called Indian-style curry.

Ramen

Food that Japan can be proud to serve to the world. Originating from Chinese noodle dishes,
it has now evolved in its own unique way and is contributing to inbound demand.

Onigiri

Onigiri are rice balls that has been held and hardened. It is usually wrapped in seaweed,
but there are many variations. It is the soul food of Japan.

Omlett

A Western-style egg dish, but its gentle flavor can also be used as a Japanese side dish.

----Sake and Snacks----

Ochoshi

Ochoshi is a special vessel for holding Japanese Sake. Often served slightly warmed.
Sake is of course served at Sho-chan's sushi restaurant.
For tsukidashi (small snacks), simple items such as grilled mezashi go well.

Yakitori

Chicken skewered and grilled. A skewer in which leeks
and meat are alternately pierced is called negima.
It is often served with shichimi (seven spice) toppings.

Hiyayakko

Hiyayakko is tofu cut cold. On top are condiments such as green onions, ginger,
and dried bonito flakes. It is usually served with soy sauce.

Friedegg.

Medama means eyes. It is so called because two round yolks are
arranged in a row and look like eyes. It is a very simple and tasty dish.

Nikujaga

Simmered meat and potatoes. Carrots and peas add color.
It is simmered in a sweet soy sauce flavored broth and tastes very homey.

Oshinko

Typical Japanese pickles. Sawan, pickles. Cucumber, radish, carrot, etc.
are colorful and good for pickles.
This alone can be a snack when drinking Sake.
Pickles are also called incense. A short and polite way of saying incense is oshinko.

Edamame

Edamame are young soybeans that are still green and boiled.
When they are boiled, they are lifted out of the colander
and sprinkled with salt, and they taste wonderfully delicious.

----Rice bowls----

Katsudon

Pork cutlet cooked in sweet and salty sauce with onions and egg,
and served on top of a bowl of rice.

Tendon

Tendon is the king of rice bowls. Expensive ones are made with carefully selected tiger prawns,
fish and a few vegetables, tempura-dipped in a sweetend soy sauce.

Oyakodon

Oyako means parent and child. The parent is the chicken and the child is the egg.
Chicken meat is beaten with an egg in a sweetened soy sauce broth.

The three kings of donburi

Tendon (fried seafood rice bowl),katsudon (pork cutlet rice bowl),oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl),
these are the top three rice bowls in Japan.

---Noodles----

Kakesoba

Soba is a typical Japanese noodle dish. It is made from buckwheat seeds ground into flour,
not wheat flour. The simplest way to eat soba is as kakesoba.
It is served with a few spring onions and wakame seaweed, and this simplicity is considered chic.

Tsukimisoba

Named after the yellow egg as the moon. There is a culture of eating and drinking
while admiring the beauty of nature, such as moon-viewing and flower-viewing.
